OESTROGEN (oestrone (E1), oestradiol (E2), oestriol (E3):

Oestrogen is a collective term, describing the three forms found in the body. The predominent form of oestrogen is oestriol, which is said to have some cancer protective properties in the breast. It is often used to treat vaginal atrophy (shrinkage) and to offer moisture to the vaginal tissues during and after menopause. Oestrone is valuable in promoting the formation of new bone tissue, slowing osteoporosis and oestradiol is useful in the management of the symptoms associated with menopause. Because the three forms of oestrogen are found naturally in the body, it is important to maintain their balance.  It is possible to replace those deficient forms of oestrogen  individually or in combination, depending on symptoms and measured levels.
